Graham
Hawkins MCIOB
Construction Director
Graham
ran his own Building Company from 1975-1998 after he had initially gained
experience working his way up from a trainee to a site agent with national
contractors between 1964-1975. In 1998, Graham joined a regional contractor
as a Contracts Manager and let his own company take a sideline. Over
the next 3 years, Graham worked on many projects with values up to £1.4
million.
In
2001, Graham wanted to reproduce the quality he had achieved with his
own company but on a larger scale. He determined there were no companies
at the time doing this, and so he set about re-launching his own Company,
which was a founding member of the CIOB's Chartered Building Company
Scheme.
Discussions
with Paul Ellis at this time created a construction synergy from which
Limen Construction was formed. Graham's original company is now incorporated
within Limen Construction, linked as a special works department.
Graham
has a wealth of experience in construction, and is one of the driving
forces in keeping Limen quality focused, with the client needs at the
centre of all contracts. He believes that traditional values have deserted
many construction firms and is determined that Limen will stand by his
principle of Plan, Instruct, Supervise and Keep It Simple.
