'The Professional Construction Service'

Paul Ellis
B.Sc (Hons), FCIOB, FRICS, FASI, MCMI, CEnv
Managing Director

With a background in quantity surveying, Paul was one of the original founders of Limen Construction in August 2001. Prior to this, he had worked his way up from a trainee quantity surveyor in 1986 to the role of Director of a regional contractor in 2000 with over £5 million of turnover under his control. He left to start up Limen because he wanted to work in a quality led, professionally managed environment.

Paul's ethos is that 'near enough is not good enough' and he echoes this in all he does. On a personal level, he has pushed himself to achieve Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Building in 2001 and Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors; he has also attained Membership of the Chartered Management Institute and is a Chartered Environmentalist. On a business level, Paul endeavours to further the company by adopting thorough quality standards and applying modern management principles to ensure full filtration of concepts and ideas.

Paul has, since 1998, forged links with Mid Kent College and helps to deliver their Construction Management Programmes including the CIOB Direct Membership Course. He is also a founding member of the college's employer liaison group and is a sponsor of the construction foundation degree.

Paul has set up a partnership with Mid Kent College to manage and deliver a programme of courses from NVQ level 3 to 5 via on site assessment covering a wide remit of Construction, Technician, Management and Professional level qualifications.

Paul is a committee member and former chairman of the Kent Branch of the Chartered Institute of Building; he is also a Professional Interview Panel member and an Ambassador for the Chartered Institute of Building.

In order to promote The Voice of Construction professionals and support future career development in the sector Paul is a member of the Construction Industry Council South East, The South East Construction Skills Forum and The South East Skills Observatory.
